I hope you can help me. I have a complaint I'd like to register with you about the safety of a car made by Dodge. The VIN (vehicle identification number) is xxxxxxxxxxx.
We purchased our 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan (vin xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)from a dealer in Nashville, TN. In just the last 90 days, I have taken the van to 2 different mechanics, one being a Dodge dealership, 7 different times. It's a good thing they are within walking distance.
* 3 Diagnostic test completed. Each giving a different code
* Sometimes I hear a clicking sount from the engine
* The van stops without warning. Thank God my three kids and I have not been hit while traveling on the interstate.
* Sometimes when idleing it shuts off.
* Sometimes it just dosen't start at all
* The computer has been replaced twice
* The water pump has been replaced
* The map sensor has been replaced...twice
* the oxygen sensor has been replaced
* The battery and alternator have been checked and are in good working condition
It is currently sitting at the dealership service center as I write this letter.
As a result of this, I don't know whether I will ever buy a car from you in the future, and I can't see myself recommending your cars to my friends and family.
Here's what I would like to see you do to provide resolution: I would like Dodge to pay the remaining $3500.00 I owe on the van, and most of all find the problem before a family is killed.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
